My new tribal class

Eventually, l have started teaching my first tribal class. It was indeed a struggle for me, l have to admit that l am not professional in tribal yet, l did take many lessons from the pro but l personally found it not enough, or l should say, may be it is enough for me to perform but not enough to teach as good as my Oriental belly dance class.

I have to start now as l know my advance class students are looking forward to this from long time ago. I myself love tribal style very much due to my cultural dance and yoga experience. I remember when l performed a tribal fusion in Singapore two years ago, people came to me and asked me to start teaching classes there, l was shock. I don't think they were just being amazed by my tribal dance performance, but the whole choreography which l have included other dance form. I know l have more to learn in order to teach. After two years, l dare not say l am good in tribal now but l would love to kick start my tribal class with my students, l believe my students have confidence with me :-) Hey l have confidence with myself too, l know once l start, l will do the best to be at least a 'semi - pro' who is qualified to teach hee hee.....

Tribal dance is spiritual and artistic in my own interpretation to this style, and l truly in love with it. To me, tribal dance is beautiful in its spirit, it is not only how you move, but how you express yourself and your own attitude through the fundamental movements of belly dancing in tribal style.

In the future, l will add my Chinese dance knowledge especially from the minority dance to tribal dance, l found them very similar in their spirit. But before that, l will combine my peacock dance from China's Dai minority to Oriental Dance as the opening dance for Malaysia 3rd World Belly Dance Day on 8th May 2010, l need many pretty mermaids with me for the dance. I have found the music and my peacock costume, l am excited to do the choreography and hope l am able to show the harmony in dance once again.
