How to be feminine in belly dance?

This is an interesting question from a belly dancer who attended few times of my workshop before, hmm.....good topic to share here huh.

The first doubt in my mind is : Am l qualified to answer this ah? Ha, guess 'no' lo.

But l think, l am more feminine than before l started belly dancing, definitely.

To me, it is a natural expression when l enjoy the femininity moves , those steps like undulations, hips figure 8 and arabesque, are feminine to me, they look soft but involve in strong inner strength control, this is the beauty of a woman.

I think, a woman is pretty when she has good manner, gracious smile, nice character and flexible, to me, there is nothing to do with her appearance or so called 'born' beauty, born beauty only gains first impression, it does not support the real feminine element.

Tamalyn Dallal is feminine on her wisdom, Saida is feminine on her strong attitude, Amar Gamal is feminine on her passion, Sadie is feminine on her incredible technique, all these women are beautiful as they know exactly who they are and have strong confidence on themselves, they do not have to show off any qualification, they naturally enjoy themselves as a woman.

But some women 'make up' themselves to act feminine, this is not lasting, l believe it has to be 'natural'.

In another words, it is not easy to be feminine when you are too young, the good and bad experience from life train a woman to be more steady in her personality, and yet, she will be softer in her character, this is feminine. And when she dances, this element will appear naturally on her moves, this is feminie.

On the whole, be yourself, we do not have to duplicate any feminine dancer, as it might not look nice to us when it looks graceful on her, it is ok if we could not be a femnine dancer, we could still be an energetic dancer or cheeky dancer, just be ourselves.

Hope l have answered her question........
