Sahara's workhop-The Lebanese style
Thank you to Karen Madrid of hosting the workshop with Sahara, it was an eye-opening for me to the Lebanese style and l love it.
It is totally different from Oriental and l think it fits me better than Oriental. Though, it is more difficult and tougher, but l like to be 'tortured', ha! I was so excited to explore new style and the new challenge.
When l stepped in to the studio, Sahara was there with sports wear and sport shoes, ha ha, it was a bit strange for me to see a belly dance teacher in sports wear for her workshop. Before the participants arrived, Sahara was completely ready to greet everyone that stepped in with her warm smiling face, l was so impressed.
She started the workshop with walking around in the studio and some aerobics steps, ha, l think there was a big question mark in every participant's mind that moment, including me la. But after she has explained further, we understand the reason she did this.
Sahara is a very passionate and friendly teacher, she welcomed questions in the workshop and when she saw us struggling in those tough steps, she wanted us to shout : We can do it! Ha, it really helps!
I enjoyed the workshop very much and fall in love with her tremendous choreography, it was such inspiring to me!
She even shared with us of Arabics language, the culture and contraindication in belly dance. I appreciate that she has reminded me to study the culture of Middle East if l want to be a professional dancer, l was not doing well on this but l promised myself to start working hard, she is right, we must understand and respect the culture if we are doing their dance.
Before l took a picture with her, l thanked her for the great workshop and told her l like her very much, she told me she likes me too because l am sweet, ha ha....you know la, l always smile and laugh to myself in the class so think this is her impression to me lo....
Thank you Sahara!

"I appreciate that she has
