Overview

A healthy and fun competition for children of the age between 5 - 12 years old; with the purpose to instill interest in belly dancing at an early age.


Competition Entry & Tickets

Competition Entry Registration Fee: RM10 per child
Event Entrance Ticket (for parents, teachers, spectators): RM10 per pax

Venue: Guang Ming Daily Hall, Macalister Road.


Prizes

  • Champion – a grand prize trophy with RM400 worth of cash & cash vouchers
  • 1st Runner Up – a 1st runner up trophy with RM300 worth of cash & cash vouchers
  • 2nd Runner Up – a 2nd runner up trophy with RM200 worth of cash & cash vouchers
  • All 5 finalist will be given free belly dance workshop by Badia on Sunday, 11th May (8.00pm – 9.30pm) in Zero Fitness Dance Studio, Gembira Parade.

Rules & Regulation

  • Only open for children at the age of 5 – 12 years old
  • An entry can be in the form of soloist, duo, trio or troupe with a maximum of 5 dancers
  • No restriction of gender. Boys and girls are allowed.
  • Only belly dancing is allowed.
  • Duration of dance/music should be between 2 – 5 minutes only.
  • Participants should wear belly dance attire/costumes.
  • All entries must be submitted to the organizer before 15th April, 2008 with full entry payments to Zero Fitness Dance Studio, Gembira Parade.
  • Participants must prepare and submit 1 entry song in a CD before 3rd May 2008 to Zero Fitness Dance Studio, Gembira Parade.
  • Participants will go through a preliminary round where 5 finalists will be selected and then, proceed to a final round with the same song, in order to determine the Champion, 1st & 2nd runner-ups position
  • All winners are required to perform and receive their prizes in the Harmony Hafla that will be held on the same day in the Grand Ballroom at Berjaya Georgetown Hotel.
  • All participants must register at the competition registration counter in Guang Ming Daily Hall at least 30 minutes before the competition starts, otherwise, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify the participation without refunding.
